Our commitment to inclusivity

Welcome Sarah Galligan

The Tour de Manc organising team is delighted to welcome Sarah Galligan to the team. Sarah is leading on making sure our sportive is as inclusive as it can be. This reflects our commitment to widening participation in the Tour de Manc to create a sportive that is enjoyed by cyclists of differing identities, abilities, ages and ethnicities.

Sarah is riding the 100 mile route this year for her first UK sportive. She rode from London to Cannes in 2019 so may be disappointed by the lack of sunny beaches on 20 September. Sarah is a woman’s advocate for Trek Bikes and in normal times leads rides from the Trek Manchester store. She also dabbles in MTB and is currently fixing-up an ancient Raleigh.

To support new sportive riders – or anyone thinking of signing-up for their first Tour de Manc – we’re launching a series of training rides on some of GM’s hills. The details will be on the invitesJ.

Welcome Sarah!
